How do I Post or Find an Odd Job?

Want to post a "help-wanted" job and are new to Jobbitz.com?
Click on "set-up account" and provide the requested information.
Then click on "post a job" and provide all requested information.
The job seeker will contact you directly via your email or phone number which you provide when posting the job.
If you already have an account, then just click on "post a job," login and provide all requested information.
NOTE: Your posting will automatically expire in 14 days. You can re-post at this time.

Want to find a job? If you do not already have an account, you can create an account by clicking on "set-up account". You can search for jobs per category, or you can click on "view all jobs". On your account page, you can create a profile beyond just listing the 2 requested references and contact information. This profile section is an opportunity for you to promote yourself by listing your skills and experience. It is a good idea to list your skills and experience in your profile section. If a job poster has 15 responses to one job posting, then having a good and completed jobber profile will set you apart!
NOTE: Your job performance can be rated by the job poster.

How do I remove a job post?

If you wish to remove a job posting, you need to access your account, and click on "my jobs", then click "edit". You will then need to change the status to either "filled", "re-list" or "cancelled".

Things to Consider

When you decide to hire someone to do a job, whether it is through Jobbitz.com, the yellow pages, etc., it is always a sound idea to check references. You also need a clear understanding of your agreed-upon compensation. Are you paying hourly, by the job? What are your precise expectations of the worker? Put your agreement in writing and update it as the job progresses, if necessary (signed by both parties). Please check out the NCDOJ (North Carolina Department of Justice) website and search for consumer protection topics such as the following: Do Your Homework on Home Repair.

If you are someone looking for work on this website or elsewhere, please take time to learn how to protect yourself, work with clear expectations, and get paid in a timely manner. We recommend that you check out the NCDOJ (North Carolina Department of Justice) website. Other helpful information can be found here.
